Senior Accountant / Lead (WFH)
The Role
As a commercially astute Senior Accountant, you will manage and maintain the organization’s financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and integrity of financial information. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while providing financial analysis to support business decisions. This role also involves assisting with audits and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Own and optimise core accounting processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, management reporting, and compliance.
• Develop accounting policies, processes, and controls to support global audit and licensing requirements.
• Review and enhance internal financial controls and processes to improve efficiency, strengthen compliance, and mitigate risk.
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support and assess new business initiatives to ensure they meet all finance requirements.
• Lead systems projects, including accounts payable automation and accounting system upgrades.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing and the company expense claim platform (Expensify).
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting as we continue to grow and mature our finance function.
What You’ll Bring

You’ll have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, and a CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience in Big 4 audit, ideally combined with commercial accounting experience.
• Exposure to, or a keen interest in, fintech, digital assets, or emerging financial technologies.
• Strong technical, financial and management accounting skills.
• A solid understanding of business processes and internal controls across finance and operations.
• Experience with automation tools, process transformation, or accounting system implementations.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• The ability to work autonomously, meet reporting deadlines, and drive efficiency.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
• A collaborative approach, high integrity, and professionalism.
